Good morning. I am here getting ready to go get Rachel out of her crib, but I wanted to write first. I first wanted to give God the glory for a beautiful day and wonderful peaceful night. I was a little worried last night because Rachel kept crying throughout the night. (Not painful cries, but little cries like she'd just had a bad dream or something.) I am a worrier sometimes and I started thinking all the bad and negative thoughts that I could about what was WRONG with Rachel. SHe must be sick, she might have fever, she is going to throw up, she may have bad gas, etc... all these things flooded my thoughts at midnight last night. Then I started thinking, NO! I'm not going to worry about this like I am doing right now. I need to trust in the Lord to take care of my family and I. He HAS done such wonders in our lives and I can't just forget that when something isn't perfect. I started to pray for Rachel and Ben and I and then went down my prayer list (of people that I was praying for). God is so good. I didn't get panicky about it all, but felt the peace of the Lord with me. He just "rocked" me back to sleep (I call it "rocked" because I feel at such peace and rest that I believe that's what a baby feels when it's mom rocks it to sleep). I am so thankful to my Lord for being a close God that I can talk to, feel, and just TRUST in! What a mighty God I serve! Thank you Jesus!
WEll, Rachel is now getting a little restless. I've gotta run. Love ya!
