Big shoes to fill!
Rachel loves putting on our shoes (Ben and I). Here is a pic of her doing that with my shoes. She's funny! She tries to walk with them too, that's super funny!
Well, today I was able to go to lunch with my bible study group at Habaneros (sp?) Grill. It was a burrito place. It was good, but the best was seeing all the girls again! It was great to catch up and see what the girls have been doing since we last met at the end of April. We'll be together again in our Kay Arthur bible study (God-willing) in late Aug. or Sept. Yeah!
Afterwards, some of us checked out the new Life Way Christian Store at the Rim. It was so cool! (of course) Rachel had tons of fun looking at all the Veggie Tales and Hermie products! She even got a new DVD on sale for $5.00. We'll be checking it out soon! We also got her a cool Hermie coloring page with a water marker. Basically you fill the marker with water and she can color on a picture that is blank. As soon as her marker w/water touches the page it colors it! Cool right!? Thanks Angie for finding that one for us! Her oldest son colors with those and she told us how fun it is! Yeah! We'll be trying that out tonight! :)
We had a blast this afternoon...I didn't even realize how late it got. We didn't get home until around 2:45 and Rachel's nap time is 2:00! Oh well, she enjoyed the time out with my friends just as much as I did! BTW, Angie took her youngest, Chance, today... what a cutie! Rachel was fascinated and wanted to be right next to him touching him when she got a chance too. She touched his hair a lot of times, his nose, his arm and kissed him a lot too! ;) It was too cute! :) I was so happy that she was pretty gentle with him. (We've been working on that for awhile!) Well, I've gotta run and finish up my laundry! I'll be writing again soon! :)

I took this pic last week when I had just combed Rachel's hair. Usually I have to put a few ponytails to keep most of her hair out of her face, but I got a little carried away and put tons of clippies in her hair! It was funny because she kept saying "Moy, Moy!" <--- That's more in Rachel language. She also knew that the little flower clips that I put in the front of her hair were used when she was a baby b/c she kept saying "baby, baby" when I put them on. Cuteness! I keep forgetting to write about this, but I have noticed how observant Rachel is about different things that are mine or Ben's. For instance, I find that when she sees something that's Ben's, she'll come and tell me "Daddy's". She did that one day when I was folding some t-shirts... she saw the "Geek Squad" shirt that he wears here at home and she said "Daddy!". It was funny! I didn't realize that she knew that, but DUH she sees daily what's ours. Another time quite a few months ago she saw Ben's deoderant on the bed and she pointed out that it was daddy's. The other day she saw me putting up the Spicy Doritos and she said "Daddy!" It was too cute. She does that for me too, but probably tells Daddy more about it than me. She does bring me my Bill Miller cup that I drink water from and says "mama!". (of course she takes a huge sip before she hands it to me!) She is just so cute and fun! I'm excited because tomorrow we are going swimming for the first time this year. Well, going to an "official pool"; she did go to papa and nana's baby pool on Sunday evening to sit in and splash! I'm so excited. My mom is joining us along with my Aunt Paz (which Rachel can say now) and my cousin Desiree and her 3 kids. I am just so happy and blessed to be able to invite ppl to our nice pool here at our apts. If I didn't live in an apt., I would be looking for someone who did b/c I surely wouldn't have a pool of my own (too expensive and great deal of upkeep).

Here's a better pic of all the clippies in Rachel's hair! ;) Don't worry they didn't last too long... only about 10-15 mins. ;)

Last one! I took so many pics b/c Rachel just loves for me to take pics of her now! She says "Moy, moy!". She poses too! It's too cute and funny and adorable! Thank you God for such a wonderful blessing in my life. Rachel has brightened our days tremendously.
